Today, I went back through the recruiting binder and made sure to add in all of the recruits into Front Rush. Front Rush is a recruiting site that allows a school to track those that they are recruiting and when they have made contact with those that they are recruiting as well. Also, Front Rush will also allow you to add a recruit to the roster once they commit to your school. So what I was responsible for doing was adding in any of those recruits from the binder who were not already entered into Front Rush. This actually took up most of the day by adding the players in there and then I also reevaluated a few players as I entered them in just to assure that they were rated properly.
This process is very time consuming because you want to make sure you are getting the correct data entered in and as much data as possible on each student-athlete. The biggest problem that you can run into is once you enter all of the information into the system and go to submit it and it comes back that the player is already in the system. At this point you have to search for the player and see why he was not listed under the correct school. Usually what has happened is that someone has entered the school in by hand instead of using the preloaded list of schools. It does not take long to correct it but it is that you just wasted about 10 minutes entering in information on someone that was already there to begin with.
