Another day, more recruiting!

Today, as I came in, I was focusing on going through the updated recruiting list and using another coaching website tool, called Ohio Scouting. Before I could start this though, Coach Paul sat down with me and went over several different recruiting videos so I could see what he is looking for with different recruits as far as athletic ability. He then noted how I would rate each player from a 1 star to a 4 star for their system. A 1 star would be someone who just would not fit their system or be able to play at this level to a 4 star as someone who just jumps out at you and you just recognize the talent level they have. I started with the first county listed and then went through the website to see if the recruit was listed in the website. If he was, I would update his information as far weight, height, GPA, ACT score, and home phone number in which he could be reached.

After all this was updated I would link on to their Hudl website to view their Junior highlights. Some would have very few highlights while others may have about 10 minutes or more of video. This was something that was very exciting for me because I do coach football and getting to evaluate film and rate potential recruits is something that I have always wanted to do. I was only able to make through a couple of the counties before it was time to leave but I was able to view several recruits that would be able to come in and make a big impact at Ohio Northern.
